Director/zWAN NMS

SD-WAN Reporting

AmZetta provides two centralized management platforms depending on your organizational needs:

Director is an enterprise-class management platform designed for larger enterprises with extensive, distributed network infrastructures. It offers comprehensive control and visibility over the entire network, enabling IT administrators to configure, monitor, and secure all network elements from a single, intuitive dashboard. zWAN NMS (Network Management System), on the other hand, is a cost-effective alternative suitable for smaller organizations with limited network footprints. It provides basic management functionalities using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), allowing for essential monitoring and control without the complexity of more advanced features.

DIRECTOR – Centralized Management

SD-WAN Centralized Management

An SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Networking) solution is a digital transformation of your network connectivity providing for enhanced security, optimized performance, lower costs, and ease of management for users and IT staff. The implementation of an SD-WAN solution will enhance application performance, user performance, reduce network expenses, unify network connectivity, and enable orchestration of application delivery across your network while increasing network security.

Centralized Management

Introducing AmZetta’s Director, the centralized management tool for your zWAN solution. Director offers unmatched control and visibility over your entire network infrastructure, providing a seamless integration with both physical and virtual environments. With its intuitive interface, Director enables IT administrators to effortlessly configure, monitor, and secure all network elements from a single dashboard. Experience enhanced network performance, robust security, detailed network analytics, extensive reporting and simplified management with Director, designed to optimize your SD-WAN deployment and ensure reliable connectivity across all your locations.

Key Benefits of Director:

  • Dashboards: zWAN Dashboards provide detailed real time views of the zWAN SD-WAN environment. Dashboards are able to provide general overviews of items such as applications usage, threats data flows and more. Each area be drilled down into and provide very specific information.
  • Centralized Management: Director can be installed on-prem or in the cloud and provides administrators visibility and management capabilities to all zWAN gateway/routers in the environment from a single pane of glass.
  • Reporting: Director is equipped with a robust reporting engine. Users are able to schedule reports or run them instantly. Reports are able to capture a multitude of network activities such as Interface utilization, application usage, threats, logs and many more.
  • Zero Touch Provisioning: zWAN supports a secure true zero-touch provisioning of edge controllers. In order to onboard a device in a remote location the only skill required is the ability to connect the cables and devices are automatically provisioned and configured to operational status. The network administrator can setup rules and policies that will be automatically applied when a matching edge controller is on boarded.

SD-WAN Director Deployment Options

Managed SD-WAN

AmZetta partners with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) for Customers that prefer to hand off the implementation, configuration and management of the SD-WAN network. AmZetta Partners can quickly and securely implement the SD-WAN solution using a team of highly skilled engineers. Managed Services avoids upfront investments and allows the network to be fully managed by a team of experts.

On-Prem SD-WAN

Customers running applications and services on-premise or in local data centers prefer to host the SD-WAN solution within their infrastructure. AmZetta provides an On-Prem SD-WAN solution that allows 100% total control and management to be performed by the in-house IT staff. AmZetta Solutions Engineering will remotely assist Customers in setup, configuration and management of the On-Prem SD-WAN.

Co-Managed SD-WAN

Not everyone is comfortable managing their SD-WAN network. AmZetta offers a Co-Managed SD-WAN solution where you retain 100% control over the SD-WAN while it is hosted within the AmZetta Cloud. AmZetta will configure and train your IT team on the SD-WAN Director to handle the day-to-day network operations. AmZetta will provide backend support and maintenance of the SD-WAN network.

zWAN NMS – OPEN STANDARD NETWORK MONITORING

Collect & Organize Information on Managed Devices

zWAN NMS is AmZetta’s comprehensive network management solution designed to monitor, visualize, and control distributed networks. It provides a centralized SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) manager that monitors all SNMP-aware devices in the zWAN product suite. zWAN NMS complements the zWAN SNMP capabilities by aggregating device data and events into a single pane of glass, making network management more accessible without sacrificing technical depth. In practice, zWAN NMS continuously polls devices for performance metrics and listens for asynchronous SNMP traps (alerts) from devices. It seamlessly integrates with zWAN SNMP agents on network devices to gather real-time operational statistics, then presents this information through intuitive dashboards and maps. The result is a unified view of network health and events, enabling IT administrators to detect issues quickly and maintain optimal service levels.

Key Product Features:

Automated Discovery & Provisioning:

zWAN NMS automatically discovers new reachable zWAN devices via SNMP or ICMP scans across defined IP ranges. Rule-based filters ensure that only specific device models or roles are registered, and discovered devices are instantly added to the inventory with appropriate monitoring templates. Scheduled scans ensure that any newly connected device is automatically detected and configured. zWAN devices on a private network behind a firewall are detected using AmZetta’s proprietary methods.

Device Grouping & Access Control:

All SNMP-managed zWAN devices can be organized into logical groups (by region, branch type, or SLA tier) for easier administration. This grouping enables collective operations—such as filtering dashboards or applying configuration templates—and supports role-based access control to restrict visibility and management rights.

Map Visualization:

zWAN NMS leverages SNMP data to display your network topology on live maps. Devices are plotted by location, and custom network maps can depict WAN connections or tunnels with real-time status updates. Custom icons and overlays further enhance the clarity of network conditions, especially in complex deployments.

Centralized Alerting & Notifications:

All SNMP traps and threshold alerts feed into the zWAN NMS dashboard, where active alarms are sorted by severity. When a trap is received (e.g., CPU overload or link failure), the system automatically logs the event, sends notifications via email, SMS, or integrations (Slack, Teams, etc.), and supports advanced escalation rules to ensure prompt response.

Ticketing System Integration:

zWAN NMS seamlessly integrates with AmZetta’s ticketing system UVDesk. Critical alerts automatically generate support tickets with full device and issue details, and tickets are updated or escalated as needed, ensuring that every event is tracked throughout the resolution process.

SLA Monitoring:

Using continuous SNMP monitoring, zWAN NMS calculates SLA metrics for each site or service. You can define SLA objectives (e.g., 99.9% uptime), and the system tracks actual performance against these targets—excluding scheduled maintenance where applicable—and triggers alerts if thresholds are breached. Detailed graphs and reports help ensure that network reliability meets promised standards.

Reporting & Analytics:

zWAN NMS transforms SNMP telemetry into actionable insights by generating scheduled or on-demand reports in HTML or PDF. Customizable templates allow you to tailor reports for detailed technical reviews or executive summaries. Trend analysis charts assist in capacity planning, enabling you to forecast upgrades or hardware refresh needs based on historical data.
