If a BIOS/UEFI update fails or the firmware becomes corrupted, you may need to recover the firmware using tools provided by the motherboard or system manufacturer.
In our configuration, if you are on firmware version 1.3-**.*4 and encounter a firmware issue, use the firmware recovery option to revert to a previously functioning version, such as 1.3-.***1, to ensure stable operation.
Steps for Firmware Recovery
- Open amz_Secureshell and log in with the appropriate credentials. Once logged in, a menu with multiple options will be displayed.
- Select Option 19 to access the firmware recovery functionality within the amz_Secureshell interface.
- Next, choose Option 3 to initiate the firmware recovery process.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to enter the required details for firmware recovery.
- Type lastgood and press Enter to begin the firmware recovery process.Note: Ensure you enter “lastgood” exactly as shown. If the input is incorrect or left empty, a failed recovery message will appear, and the process will not proceed.
