Third party Service

For enabling Third Party Service need to enable status. After enable only DNS or URLs request may pass to third-party service otherwise DNS or URLs filtered by the custom service. Hit count represents the number of hits on the third-party service for web classification. For using advance feature need to set URL level limit, URL Filter Status, Threshold Limit, Threshold frequency, and Threshold action. Each section is defined below

WEBCLASSIFY

URL Level Limit

The URL level limit sets the maximum URL level allowed to webclassify. For example, if the URL level limit is set to 3, it means that up to 3 sublevels are allowed in the URL.
(e.g.: https://mydomain.com/home/product/types)

URL Filter status

Enable or disable the URL Filter. Disabling the URL filter will not use the webclassify service.

Threshold limit

Maximum number of hits allowed at the web classification service. Based on the threshold frequency, the hit count will reset. Please refer to the threshold frequency for details. Once the total hit count exceeds the threshold limit, it will not pass on to the web classify. In such a case, allowing or blocking access to the access site depends on the setting “threshold action”. If the hit count is within the limit, based on the category/reputation score, the accessed site will be blocked/allowed.

Threshold Frequency

The quota frequency is daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, and resets the internal hit count to zero based on the setting. The webclassify current hit, threshold limit (max hit allowed to webclassify), threshold frequency (hit quota daily/weekly/monthly/yearly), threshold action (ALLOW/BLOCK) when the hit count (current hit) exceeds the threshold limit. As an example, if the threshold frequency is set as weekly, the hit count will be reset to 0 after 7 days and will allow a maximum hit of threshold limit.

Threshold action

ALLOW or BLOCK the site in case the webclassify hit count exceeds the limit, and the given site is uncategorized.
