Certificate Deployment

Certificate Deployment

Summary

Distribute SSL/TLS certificates (PEM, DER, P12) to zTC devices centrally by uploading to the repository and assigning via a Settings template :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}.

Prerequisites

  • Certificates in supported formats (.cer, .crt, .der, .pem, .p12)
  • Uploaded to the MinIO repository in the zMAN UI

Procedure

  1. Navigate to **Repository → Files → Upload**, and select your certificate files; confirm they appear in the list.
  2. Go to **Settings → Device Settings → Create New**, choose **Certificate Deployment** category.
  3. Select one or more certificates from the repository list and specify installation paths (default: /etc/ssl/certs/).
  4. Save the template, then assign it to devices/groups via **Actions → Assign Settings** :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}.

Best Practices

  • Group related certificates (e.g., Root CA chain) into a single template.
  • Use descriptive names and version notes to track certificate rotations.
