Input Device

Overview

Input Device settings in zMan Director allow administrators to configure mouse behavior for managed zTC devices.

Input Device settings can be created as part of a reusable device settings configuration and applied to individual zTC devices or groups of devices.

Input Device Configuration

Input Device settings provide control over common mouse behavior.

Documented input device controls include:

  • Mouse speed
  • Button swap

These settings help administrators standardize input behavior across managed zTC endpoints.

Mouse Speed

Mouse speed settings allow administrators to adjust pointer movement behavior for managed devices.

This can be useful when standardizing user experience across shared workstations, kiosk environments, or VDI deployments.

Button Swap

Button swap settings allow administrators to change mouse button behavior.

This may be useful for users or environments that require alternate input configurations.

Applying Input Device Settings

Input Device settings may be applied to:

  • Individual zTC devices
  • Groups of zTC devices

This allows administrators to apply consistent input behavior across selected managed endpoints.

Notes

  • Input Device setting availability may vary depending on device firmware and connected peripherals.
  • Some input changes made directly on the zTC may not immediately reflect in zMan Director.
  • Input Device settings should be tested before broad deployment across production devices.
