Metrics

Overview

Metrics in zMan Director provides dynamic device information for a selected managed zTC endpoint.

Administrators can use Metrics to review current operational data reported by the device while it is online and communicating through zDM.

Metrics Information

The Metrics section may display live or near-live device information collected from the selected zTC device.

This information can help administrators monitor device behavior and support troubleshooting workflows.

Metrics may include information related to:

  • Current device status
  • Time-related device data
  • System performance indicators
  • Device communication state
  • Runtime operational values

Data Refresh Behavior

Unlike some device information that is collected during initial registration, metrics are dynamic.

Metrics, status, current time, and time zone information are fetched from the zTC device and updated periodically while the device is online.

Use Cases

Administrators may use Metrics to:

  • Review current endpoint activity
  • Confirm whether a device is actively communicating
  • Support troubleshooting workflows
  • Compare live status with event logs or task status
  • Validate device behavior after configuration changes

Device Information Tabs

Metrics is part of the device information area for a selected zTC device.

Documented device information tabs include:

  • Overview
  • Processor
  • Software
  • Network
  • Metrics

Each tab provides a focused view of information collected from the managed endpoint.

Notes

  • Metrics availability depends on active device communication through zDM.
  • Metrics may update periodically while the zTC is online.
  • If metrics appear missing or outdated, verify that the device is online and communicating through zDM.
  • Metrics should be reviewed together with device status, Tasks, and Event Logs when troubleshooting device issues.
