Overview

Network settings in zMan Director allow administrators to manage network-related configuration for selected zTC devices where supported.

This section is part of the device management settings area and is used to review or apply network configuration options for managed endpoints.

Network Configuration

Network settings may be used to manage endpoint network behavior from zMan Director.

Depending on deployment configuration, device firmware, and available zTC capabilities, network-related settings may include configuration options related to connectivity, interface behavior, or network access.

Device-Level Management

Network settings can be managed at the device level when working with a selected zTC endpoint.

This allows administrators to apply network-related configuration directly to a managed device instead of configuring the setting locally on the zTC.

Applying Network Settings

Network settings may be applied to managed zTC devices through zMan Director when supported by the device and deployment configuration.

Before applying changes, administrators should verify:

  • The zTC device is online
  • The device is communicating through zDM
  • The intended network configuration is valid for the deployment environment
  • The change will not interrupt required management connectivity

Operational Considerations

Network settings should be applied carefully because incorrect network configuration may affect device connectivity.

Administrators should review the target device and deployment environment before applying network changes, especially for remote devices or devices outside the local network.

Notes

  • Network setting availability may vary depending on device firmware and deployment configuration.
  • Network changes may affect device connectivity to zDM and zMan Director.
  • If a device becomes unreachable after a network change, local access to the zTC may be required.
  • Some network information may also be visible from the device information area under the Network tab.
