Overview

  • IPv6 Routes is the process of directing data packets across networks using 128-bit IPv6 addresses. It ensures the efficient delivery of packets through static routes, default gateways, or dynamic routing protocols. IPv6 improves scalability, security, and performance compared to IPv4.

Configuration Of IPv6 routes:

Set Static Route:

  • Go to the secureshell Static Routes option 23 or /WEBUI/ProviderUI.
  • Enter into New Static Route and choose the Route type as Network
  • Enter the Destination IPv6 Address
  • Enter the Prefix
  • Choose the Interface (eg.WAN01)

Set Default Gateway

  • Select Default GW.
  • Enter the Static IPv6 Destination

Note : For IPv6-only EC configurations that route IPv4 LAN traffic through the DC via IPv6 tunnels, you'll need to set the default IPv4 gateway to the DC Tunnel Loopback IPv4 IP so traffic can be forwarded.

Filter Route Table:

  • Select Static only on the Route Table.

  • Select Static,Auto,OSPF,BGP to Filter the Route Table

Delete Default Gateway:

  • Click the Delete icon on Static Route Table for Delete the Specific Default Gateway.
