Software in zMan Director provides software-related information for a selected managed zTC device.
Administrators can use this section to review software details collected from the zTC during registration and device communication.
Software Information
The Software section may include details related to the software environment installed on the selected zTC device.
This information may help administrators review:
- Installed firmware version
- Device software state
- Operating system-related details
- Version information needed for support or troubleshooting
Use Cases
Administrators may use the Software section to:
- Confirm the firmware or software version on a device
- Compare software versions across devices
- Support troubleshooting workflows
- Determine whether a device may need a firmware update
- Verify software details after provisioning or update operations
Data Refresh Behavior
Software information is generally collected from the zTC device during registration or device communication.
Some information may only update after the device reconnects, reboots, or completes a synchronization with zMan Director.
Notes
- Software information availability may vary depending on zTC firmware version and device connectivity.
- Some software details are collected during initial registration.
- If software information appears outdated, confirm that the device is online and communicating through zDM.
- Firmware update status and version changes may also be reviewed through Firmware Update, Tasks, and Event Logs.
