File Deployment
Overview
File Deployment in zMan Director allows administrators to apply supported files to managed zTC devices.
This page lists OpenVPN files that have been uploaded through Repository Management. Once available in zMan Director, these files can be applied to individual zTC devices or groups of devices.

File Type
The File Deployment page includes a file type selector.
The documented file type for this workflow is:
- OpenVPN
OpenVPN files are uploaded through Repository Management before they are available for deployment.
File List
The File Deployment table may display information such as:
- Name
- Description
- File Name
- Host
- Uploaded On
This allows administrators to confirm that the correct file is available before applying it to managed devices.
Deployment Workflow
The typical file deployment workflow is:
- Upload the OpenVPN file under Repository Management.
- Open Device Settings > File Deployment.
- Select the appropriate file type.
- Confirm the file appears in the deployment list.
- Apply the file to the required individual device or device group.
OpenVPN File Deployment
OpenVPN configuration files are used by OpenVPN clients to connect to a VPN server.
These files may contain connection settings, certificates, and other information required to establish a secure encrypted connection between the client and the VPN server.
The supported OpenVPN file format documented for this workflow is:
.ovpn
