Power Schedule

Overview

Power Schedule in zMan Director allows administrators to create and apply scheduled power operations for managed zTC devices.

Power schedules can be applied to individual devices or groups of devices to help automate routine power management tasks.

Power Schedule

Supported Power Operations

zMan Director supports the following power schedule operations:

  • Reboot
  • Shutdown
  • Suspend

The Reboot operation is documented as immediate only.

Schedule Types

Power Schedule supports the following schedule options:

  • Immediate
  • Run Once
  • Run Recursive

Run Once

Run Once allows administrators to schedule a power operation for a specific date and time.

This is useful for one-time maintenance windows or scheduled device shutdowns.

Run Recursive

Run Recursive allows administrators to configure a repeating schedule.

Recurring schedules may be configured for:

  • Every day
  • Weekly schedules
  • Selected days of the week

Applying a Power Schedule

Once a power schedule is created, it can be applied to:

  • Individual zTC devices
  • Groups of zTC devices

Administrators should verify that the target devices are online and communicating through zDM before applying scheduled operations.

Notes

  • Wake options for suspended devices may depend on Wake on LAN or Wake on USB settings.
  • Shutdown fully powers down the device and may require manual power-on afterward.
  • Scheduled operations depend on device connectivity and zDM communication.
  • Power schedule behavior may vary depending on device firmware and deployment configuration.
