Configuring VMware Horizon Sessions on zTC

This article explains how to install and configure the VMware Horizon client on your zTC, including display, USB, and audio redirection settings.

Prerequisites

  • zTC with SnapOS ≥1.3
  • VMware Horizon server address and user credentials
  • Network connectivity to Horizon Connection Server

Procedure

  1. Launch Horizon Client
    • Start → Applications → VMware Horizon
    • Click “New Server” → enter Connection Server URL → Connect
  2. Authenticate & Select Desktop
    • Enter username/password → Login → choose published desktop or application
  3. Configure Redirection
    • Before connecting, click ⚙️ icon → USB & Audio tabs → enable desired redirection → Save

Advanced Configuration

  • Multi-Monitor Support: Settings → Display → enable multi-monitor → specify layout
  • Blast Adaptive Transport: Settings → Connection → select “Blast” for optimized performance
