Configuring VMware Horizon Sessions on zTC
Summary
This article explains how to install and configure the VMware Horizon client on your zTC, including display, USB, and audio redirection settings.
Prerequisites
- zTC with SnapOS ≥1.3
- VMware Horizon server address and user credentials
- Network connectivity to Horizon Connection Server
Procedure
- Launch Horizon Client
- Start → Applications → VMware Horizon
- Click “New Server” → enter Connection Server URL → Connect
- Authenticate & Select Desktop
- Enter username/password → Login → choose published desktop or application
- Configure Redirection
- Before connecting, click ⚙️ icon → USB & Audio tabs → enable desired redirection → Save
Advanced Configuration
- Multi-Monitor Support: Settings → Display → enable multi-monitor → specify layout
- Blast Adaptive Transport: Settings → Connection → select “Blast” for optimized performance
