Setup:
Overview :
The basic functionality of setup is download the delta file from the MinIO server to the zWAN CPE device during the update process.
Introduction:
The proposed repo updates contains up-to-date information regarding the DNS database. The repositories will be updated periodically or on a demand basis from a centralized location such as zWAN Director or a MiniO server located on-premise or in the cloud. To optimize the traffic load during the update, only the latest information (delta) will be pulled as and when it is required.
Categorization:
The repositories contain millions of URLs, DNS database, and FQDNs for the easy usage of this vast information, categorizing them based on purposes such as advertisement, malware and news etc.
MinIO Configuration:
The credentials of the MinIO repository server can be viewed or modified in this section. This information can be captured from the MinIO console of your MinIO server setup.
Server IP: IP address and port number of the MinIO server
Bucket Name: Name of the bucket in the server where all repository
update files (delta) are loaded
Access Key ID: Access key of the MinIO server
Secret Access Key: Secret key of the MinIO server
MinIO Details for example:
- MinIO server IP: ****
- Bucket Name : ****
- AccessKey ID : ****
- Secret Access Key: ****

Periodic Update:
It is possible to configure the periodic update in the zWAN to update the delta repository immediately, daily, weekly, or monthly.
Time: HH: MM 24-hour format. This data applies to daily, weekly, or
monthly selections.
Day of week: Sunday to Saturday. If the selection is "Every week", the
update will happen every week on the day mentioned.
Date of month: 1 to 31 are valid but need to consider the date that is
applicable for all months including February and leap year.
Immediate: This selection lets the zWAN update the delta update
immediately and omit all other settings in the "Periodic update".
Every day: The selection of "Every day" considers only the time
parameter for the update.
Every week: This selection takes the week of the day and referenced
time.
Every month: It considers the date of the month and time to update the
repository monthly basis
Apply: The "Apply" button updates the configuration in the preferred
zWAN, which is displayed in the main windows. Please note that these
settings are independent and no need to reconfigure the Proxy, ICAP
server, or anti-virus daemon.
- Immediate
- Daily(time)
- Weekly (Time/day of the week)
